In this bygone era, long before the events of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, you’ll encounter newly discovered Pokémon such as Wyrdeer, an evolution of Stantler, and regional variants like Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Zorua, and Hisuian Zoroark. As you delve deeper into the mysteries of the Hisui region, you’ll unravel the enigma surrounding the Mythical Pokémon, Arceus.

The Daybreak update, a free software enhancement, introduces special mass outbreaks and fresh challenges. With the Daybreak update, you’ll start probing into the enigmatic mass outbreaks of Pokémon occurring throughout the Hisui region. You’ll also have the opportunity to test your mettle against formidable adversaries, including Legendary Pokémon in the Eternal Battle Reverie and wardens at the Jubilife Village training grounds. The Daybreak content becomes accessible after viewing the game’s end credits, and the Eternal Battle Reverie unlocks upon completion of all missions.

Combat in the Hisui region introduces unique mechanics. For the first time in the series, your Pokémon can execute moves in the swift agile style or the potent strong style. These styles can influence the number of consecutive turns a Pokémon can take.

Encounter noble Pokémon, exceptional Pokémon in the Hisui region that have been bestowed a mysterious blessing. These noble creatures possess formidable power and are held in high esteem by the region’s inhabitants. However, a peculiar phenomenon is causing these noble Pokémon to suddenly become frenzied. To pacify them, you’ll need to administer balms crafted from these noble Pokémon’s favorite foods.
